In the Prutul factory we produce a full range of refined sunflower oils: Conventional, High Oleic, Mid Oleic and various mixes of vegetable oils including special oils for deep frying (Frying oils).
We market these types of vegetable oils both under our own brands and as private brands for our partners, retailers in Romania and internationally.

We were the first company to launch, since 2015, the first 100% Romanian High Oleic oil – Spornic Premium / Spornic Omega 9 (rebranding in 2020) – addressed to household consumers and Spornic Professional – dedicated to HORECA and Food Service industry.
Since 2015, the Prutul Factory processes High Oleic sunflower seeds and produces and sells refined High Oleic sunflower oil bulk and bottled to partners in Romania and internationally.
High Oleic oil is obtained from a special variety of sunflower seeds, which internationally is called “High Oleic”, with a content of at least 75% oleic acid. This is a monounsaturated Omega 9 fatty acid. Replacing saturated fats in the diet with unsaturated fats helps maintain normal blood cholesterol levels. Oleic acid is an unsaturated fat.
